In order to protect sustainable agriculture, the health and welfare of local communities and water and air quality, SC-CPR supports a moratorium on the expansion or installation of concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs) until such time as the current CAFOs, both permitted and unpermitted, can demonstrate a history of manure management that preserves the environment and quality of life for all communities and future generations.
