- Educate yourself at CAFOs in the news and Related Organizations
- Call, write, e-mail, or visit you State and Local elected officials to ask for their support for a moratorium on factory farms.
- Letter to Sean D. Logan, Director, Ohio Department of Natural Resources
- Letter to Alvin D. Jackson M.D, Director of Health, Ohio Department of Health
- Write letters and/or call your neighboring landowners to educate them about the dangers of factory farms to your health and your community.
- Write factual Letters to the Editor of you local newspaper. (SCCPR board members are available to review for accuracy)
- Educate yourself on where your food comes from; support local growers; buy meat from local farmers that do not use hormones, antibiotics, or intensive confinement methods.
- Listen and be vocal. Report unusual activities to other members of the group.
- Make a donation, request a sign to put in your yard, and keep an eye on our calendar for meetings and events.
