July 1, 2008 - The Department of Environmental Quality announced today its decision to deny the application for a permit for a Vreba-Hoff Dairy Development Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO), Bustorf Dairy, proposed for Leonidas Township in St. Joseph County.

One way you can do this is by calling Governor Ted Strickland's office (614-644-4357) to ask him to place a moratorium on the construction of CAFOs until a better way to handle the massive amounts of waste is developed so that our water, air and quality of life are protected.
